Christianity Explored is an independent UK Charity which originated in All Souls Church, Langham Place, London. It produces courses and other materials to help people understand from the Bible who Jesus is, why He came, and what it means to follow Him. Our hope is that people will explore these things and ultimately have the joy of meeting the same Jesus who has transformed the lives of so many over the centuries.
In 2012 Abbots Cross Presbyterian Church ran its first Christianity Explored Course in Nortel's Social Club, Monkstown. It's an informal 7-week course for people who'd like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. Looking at Mark's gospel, it explores who Jesus is, why He came and what it means to follow Him. In 2012 we met at 8pm, watched a short DVD, and then had the opportunity to look at a passage from Mark's Gospel in the Bible, and discuss what it mean in small groups. There was also a time to get to know each other over supper. In the middle of the 7 week course, we had a day away in Dunadry, where we looked at some more of Jesus' teaching, and enjoyed spending time with each other over lunch. It was a very relaxed time, where people were free to ask questions, explore different issues, and learn more about Jesus.
We hope to run further Christianity Explored Courses in the months to come. If you would like to register to be part of one of these courses, either complete a Contact Form, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone the church office on 028 9085 2120. Feel free to visit the Christianity Explored website to find out more about the course itself.
