Abbots Cross Presbyterian Church

Ivan Neish

I am from a Forces background, being born in Darlington, starting school in Germany and living in Malta.  My family settled in Antrim when I was fourteen, where I spent the rest of my teenage years.

I attended Ballyclare High School, then Queen's University Belfast, where I studied Science, which I taught for a number of years.

I came to faith in Christ in my early twenties and became involved in First Antrim Presbyterian Church for the next five years.  I studied at Union Theological College, and following an assistantship in Rathcoole, I served as minister in Cloughey and Portavogie for nine years.  I came to Abbots Cross in 1994 where I have remained ever since.

I am married to Valerie and we have five children, at various stages of education and employment.

I enjoy jogging, five-a-side football and music.
