We are a group of ordinary people from different backgrounds, life experiences and ages. What we have in common is that we love Jesus, the Son of God. We believe in the incredible news that through His life, His death and His rising from the dead, that He has brought the unending love of God to even us. He offers us the free gift of forgiveness and new life. We don’t pretend to have life sorted - far from it! But many of our lives have been and are continuing to be changed and impacted by Jesus.
We are called to share His love with others in the community around us, and across the world. To that end, we meet together every Sunday morning and evening, and throughout the week in different smaller gatherings and activities. We seek to support and encourage one another to look to Jesus and to be constantly working out what it means to be a believer and follower of Him in every part of our lives.
We would love to see you join us on a Sunday morning at 11am or Sunday evening at 6.30pm, where you can expect a time of prayer and singing to God, as well as teaching from the Bible. It’s pretty informal, so there’s no need to dress up. Come as you are. Or why not come along to some of the other activities throughout the week, which provide opportunities to get to know others in the local community, and to get to know Jesus more as well.
If we can be of any help to you at any time, please get in touch. We look forward to journeying together with you in the days ahead.
As part of the special Thanksgiving Service to mark the opening of the refurbished building of Abbots Cross Presbyterian Church on Easter Saturday 4th April 2015, we asked a number of people from across the generations in Abbots Cross to share their hopes and prayers for the church family in the months and years ahead...check out the video above to hear what they shared...
"...you are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God's temple...and you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple..." (1 Peter 2:4-5)
